Trust & Safety
Last updated 12 August 2026
Trade Mongo is a marketplace, and marketplaces work only when both sides can trust each other. This page explains how we work to keep the platform safe, what conduct is prohibited, and how to report a concern to Big Market 360 Private Limited, F211, Express Zone Commercial Hub, B wing, Malad East, Mumbai-400063, India..
1. Verification standards
Every Supplier is verified before their profile is visible to Buyers. We check GSTIN and PAN against government portals, review business documents, and — for Verified+ suppliers — conduct on-site or video visits. Read the full process on How verification works.
Verification is repeated periodically. If a Supplier's GST becomes inactive, their profile is returned to review.
2. Prohibited conduct
The following are prohibited on the Service and may result in immediate suspension:
- Impersonation — creating a listing for a business you do not own or represent.
- Fake credentials — inflated GSTINs, forged certifications, fake photographs of premises or products.
- Off-platform solicitation — asking a counterparty to move payment or contract off the Service in order to circumvent fees or buyer protection.
- Prohibited goods — any product or service the sale of which is restricted or prohibited under Indian law (drugs, weapons, wildlife, counterfeit goods, and so on).
- Fraud — advance-fee scams, non-delivery scams, misrepresenting product specifications, or bait-and-switch.
- Harassment or discrimination — targeting Users on grounds of religion, caste, gender, sexuality, disability, or national origin.
- Data misuse — scraping the Service at scale, or using contact details for spam or unrelated solicitation.
3. Reporting
Report a Supplier, listing, RFQ, or User you believe is violating these standards:
- In-product: use the "Report" control on the item in question.
- Email: [email protected] with the URL and a description of the concern.
- Grievance escalation: [email protected] for unresolved reports.
We acknowledge reports within 48 hours. Investigations typically complete within 7 business days for straightforward cases.
4. Escalation ladder
- Product control on the listing / message ("Report").
- [email protected] — our trust operations desk.
- [email protected] — grievance officer under Indian law (Section 3(2), IT Rules 2021 / DPDP Act 2023).
- Regulator / law enforcement — for unlawful conduct, we cooperate with valid requests from law enforcement and courts. Where DPDP-related, the Data Protection Board of India is the ultimate escalation.
5. Law-enforcement and legal requests
We respond to lawful requests from Indian law enforcement, courts, and regulators. Requests should be sent to [email protected] on official letterhead with the case reference and a specific data ask. We publish an annual transparency summary of the requests we receive and the actions we took.
