How verification works
Last updated 12 August 2026
Every supplier on Trade Mongo is verified before their profile becomes visible to buyers. Verification is what makes the difference between a directory and a marketplace you can actually transact on.
What we verify
- GSTIN — matched against the government GST portal for name, PAN, principal address, and active status.
- PAN — cross-referenced with the GSTIN's PAN.
- Business documents — the supplier uploads incorporation documents (Udyam / MSME certificate, incorporation certificate, or partnership deed) which our team reviews.
- Address proof — utility bill or lease agreement at the principal place of business.
- Signatory authorisation — a letter authorising the person creating the account to represent the business.
Verification statuses
- Under review — documents submitted, awaiting our team.
- Verified — all checks passed. Profile is visible to buyers.
- Verified+ — the above, plus an on-site or video visit to the manufacturing / trading location.
- Rejected — did not meet criteria. The supplier is informed of the reason.
Timelines
Standard verification is usually completed within 3 business days from document submission. Verified+ takes 7–14 business days depending on location.
Re-verification
We periodically re-check GSTIN status. If a supplier's GST becomes inactive or their PAN mismatches, their profile is automatically returned to review.
